Earlier this year I was introduced to Yerba Mate and I have kept drinking it ever since because it has so many benefits.

It is a connector.

Yerba Mate represents more than just the drink that it is. Mate is like the glue of any friendship or relationship in South America. This may sound silly but its really part of their culture. When they drink mate it is an event. Everyone comes together, typically in a circle, and they drink mate. There is a specific structure to how they prepare and serve the mate. There is etiquette that goes along with it as well. They are all together sharing their thoughts and stories, and in the middle of all sits the earthy drink…mate.

Everyone should drink it.
