What blogging 30 days in a row taught me.
It was tough at times, but I learned so much.
The Story.
At the beginning of this month, I set out on a journey that will last my whole life. That journey is writing a blog every day as long as I live, with a few planned exceptions. I am only 30 days into that journey but I wanted to share what it has taught me so far.
Belief.
In order to accomplish this goal, you need one thing to start out. That is to believe in yourself. Believe that you are capable of writing every day and shipping something every day. Other people do it, so why can’t you? That’s just it, you can; nothing is stopping you.
A Routine.
This is not 100% necessary but really helped me. When I set out on this I decided that I would write my blog posts in the morning. Almost every day I have done that. I would choose a coffee shop in the area and would head there after my morning prayer and shower. I would sit down and the words would come…well, most of the time.
Fortitude.
There were a few days that I really had a hard time getting something to come together on this screen. One day I went through four ideas before finding something that I could write about. When I got to that…
