This week was pretty short due to my travel to Washington D.C. for the National March For Life. This is my sixth time attending the March (I think. I kind of lost count). However, I did learn something this week that I feel is worth sharing.

What I’m Learning.

At Work…

Despite this week being cut short, I still had a very busy two and a half workdays this week.

1. Ask Questions.

More specifically a SWOT analysis is something everyone can benefit from, whether you are an independent insurance broker or a Fortune 500 C-suite team.

This week my boss and I had our second session performing a SWOT analysis for one of our clients. We will be doing their marketing for the next year and wanted to go through this to help them get a good idea of what their Strengths, Weaknesses, Threats, and Opportunities are. (If you were wondering what SWOT meant like I was the first time I heard it).

This will help us to then create the narrative that we will use going forward in the next 12 months (hopefully longer) to execute their marketing.

The coolest part of doing this SWOT analysis with this small team was that we get to see how each of them answer differently. So far we have spent about 7 hours with them…
