What I’m Learning.

At Work…

Wow. What a busy week.

That statement might lead you to guess what I am learning, or at least realizing this week.

If you guessed, that I need to stop going to taco Tuesday and watching sports during the workday…I’m sorry but that isn’t the right answer.

Schedule downtime.

The right answer is that downtime on your schedule has to be scheduled or you will have no time to breathe and as a result, you will start to lose it. ‘It’ refers to multiple things. From your mind to your feeling of comfort that you will be helping your clients to the best of your ability.

Let me back up.

This week we closed 3 new deals. None of them were too large but all were large enough that it’s a bit more involved than just making an Instagram post or writing a blog post. The reason I’m realizing I need to schedule more downtime is that I have not had time to create lists of deliverables for all of these clients.

Typically what we do is create deliverables for them so they get us the content we need, and then create deliverables for our team. This way the project stays on task. Well to summarize I have not done that for any of those 3 new deals.
