In 2022 I set out to read 1 book a week. I am almost finished with the year so I have not quite finished the 52 but I will finish 52 before the end of the year. I did this because I believe in the necessity to continue learning at all times. Of course, you can learn from many things, not just books but I do believe that books offer a solid way to learn bc of how much content is contained about the topic in each book. It is my belief that you only retain a certain percentage of things you consume no matter how much you focus. Yes, there is a range of retention depending on your focus but it’s unlikely for you to recall everything.

Here are the books I have read this year and the last three are the ones I’m going to finish before the end of the year. I will note, I have read many but most of the books I “read” were actually listened to on Audible because of my schedule I prefer to listen to books. It’s one of the best ways for me to retain information personally and I have a lot of time where I’m able to pay attention to an audiobook while doing something else like commuting or cleaning whereas I would have to set aside time to sit and just read the physical book.
