This idea of why we go on vacation has been poking at my mind for the past two weeks. The reason being because I went camping last weekend and this past week I have been on the east coast visiting two of my old friends. Through this time and through feeling exhausted it has just had me thinking. I was reflecting on my past vacations, or getaways whatever you want to call them and I noticed I always came back feeling more exhausted then before I embarked on the trip. This made me realize that a lot of people I know also have the same dilema. Go on vacation and add to your total stress.
I always thought that the purpose of vacation was to get away from everything and I mean everything including the stress of work and the nagging of your annoying friends. It’s a precarious situation bc traveling is by nature stressful. Catching flights, trains, keeping the family together, attempting not to spend the entire family savings, etc. What if vacation isn’t only for that time after the kids get out of school. What if we can somehow always be on vacation? I don’t mean like, what if we can live in Hawaii and live off of our awesome investment. I mean what if there is…
