A look at who your friends are, and if those friends are in line with who you want to be.

To an observant and reflective person it only takes about six months to realize that the people one spends time with influence their own personality. Diving further into this subject brings about the idea of intentionality. We are creatures who make decisions everyday. Sometimes unconsciously sometimes consciously. I think the argument can be made for all people seeking to become the best they can be, within the context of religion, or professionalism, that it is our duty to do as many things with intention as possible, and to understand our motivation for our unintentional decisions. The nature of this article is to deepen reflection for the reader by way of recording my own reflection on the topic.

To start off I want to highlight that I am attempting to grow stronger in five traits. Those five traits are Thoroughness, so I don’t send off emails with typos or incorrect grammar. To be more prayerful, specifically so that I develop a better habit of truly placing myself in the presence of God every morning so I am able to better respond to the days events and to truly be present at every moment of the day.
